Our Regional level gymnast Rebecca Lockyer took part in her first competition of the year, there were 10 gymnasts in her group and as you will see from the results did exceptionally well and made Zodiac very proud

LGF Novice/Club Spring Championships - 8/9th May'10

11 of our gymnasts competed over the weekend at Heathrow, 10 at Novice level and 1 at Club level.  They all performed really well and Rachel is very pleased with their performances.  Well done Girls.  The results are:

LGF Bronze & Silver Comp - 24/25th April'10

Over the weekend we had four gymnasts competing, 4 on the Saturday in the Bronze competition and 1 on the Sunday in the Silver competition.  For 3 of them it was the first time they had taken part in this competition, for the other two it was the first time they have competed their new routines at this competition.  They all did very well and we are proud of them all. Results are as follows:

BRONZE LEVEL - Lucy Hughes(10yrs) 28th out of 31, Alex Stoica(12yrs) 16th out of 28, Nathan Parmenter(11yrs) 9th out of 9, Cameron Betts(9yrs) 20th out of 26th

Croydon Borough Championships - Sat 17th April'10

Dawn took 4 of our gymnasts, 2 girls and 2 boys to this competition at Croydon School of Gymnastics. The competitiion was to select the top 6 boys and top 6 girls who would go the London Youth Games in the summer to represent Croydon.  They all did very well with all of them competing their floor routines for the first time and 3 of them competing full floor routines for the first time. Results are as follows:

LGF Team Championships - Sunday 11th April 2010

This was a competition for Regional level gymnasts.  Unfortunately we only have Bex competing at this level so she was joined by team mates who compete at Club level and Novice level, they were all judged at Regional level.  The team did really well and to top it all on the day out of the 34 gymnasts that took part in the teams Bex managed to get a 7th individual place.

LGF Team Championships - Saturday 10th April 2010

For this competition we were able to send along two Novice teams, all the gymnasts in both teams did well here are the results

Cheam Floor & Vault 7th March 2010

24 of our gymnasts took part in this event, only 22 competed as two of our gymnasts Megan Forrester and Aggie Joao had to take part in a display of floor and vault as they were under 6 and unable to compete in a competition, they were presented with a flower and certificate.  Well done to the two of them and we look forward to them competing in November.  Here are the results for the rest of our entries:

LGF GRADES - HEATHROW 28th February 2010

7 of our gymnasts went to Heathrow gym club to take part in the Grades. Two of them were to take Grade 13 and the other 5 Grade 14. Congratulations girls.

LGF Gold Level Competition - 6th December 2009

This was the clubs last competition of 2009 and the two gymnasts who entered are retiring from Gold level and moving up to Womens Artistic Novice Level next year, we wish them all the best and say a big well done for this competition.

LGF Twin Piece Championships - 15th November 2009

Once again we were able to enter two gymnasts into the Regional Senior level, in this competition the gymnasts are required to compete on two pieces of apparatus each.

LGF Bronze Level Competition - 8th November 2009

We had two gymnasts who took part in this competition, they only compete on floor and vault, not only do they compete for a medal they also try to gain their PIN and then move up to the next level. For their pin they have to score a minimum score on the vault and also on the floor.  One of the two gymnasts managed this so will now be competing at Silver level in future.  WELL DONE TO BOTH OF YOU!

LGF Novice Autumn Championsips - 10th October 2009

There were two squad gymnasts entered for this competition and both of them did well.  They were

LGF TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS - 12th July 2009

This competition made history for Zodiac as it was the first team championships where we entered a team at Regional level.  Rebecca Lockyer who competes at Regional was accompanied by 3 team mates who had to work at regional level despite usually competing at a lower level.

ZODIAC INVITATIONAL COMPETITION - 28th June 2009

The Invitational comprised of gymnasts from our club, Harlequins from Hornchurch Essex and Orpington gym clubs we also had one participant from Croydon School of Gymnastics.  The day went very well with a good mixture of medals being awarded to all the clubs taking part.  Our results are as follows:

LGF Regional Spring Championships - 20th June 2009

Our only gymnast to compete in this competition did extremely well, especially as she was sporting an ankle injury.   Well Done!

LGF BRONZE LEVEL COMP - 23rd Nov 2008

Joshua Lockyer and Lucy Hughes entered the Bronze level comp held at Newham Sports Centre, for Lucy it was the first time at this level and she managed a well deserved 6th place, Joshua who was competing for his second time at this level came home with a Gold medal and also earned himself the Bronze Pin which shows his score was high enough for him to progress to Silver Level in the next competition. WELL DONE BOTH OF YOU!

CHEAM FLOOR AND VAULT COMPETITION

SUNDAY 9th MARCH 2008

On Sunday 9th March Zodiac were invited to Cheams Invitational Floor and Vault competition.  Zodiac entered 32 gymnasts, and came home with 3 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals and 8 Bronze medals, plus lots of placings.

Coaches Carolle and Coach Dawn were very pleased with all the gymnasts performances.  For some gymnasts it was their first compeition, others managed to acheive the next level up medal from the last competition.

On Sunday 11th May 13 gymnasts took part in the competition organised by Croydon School of Gymnastics.  8 of these gymnasts were competing for places in the teams that would represent Croydon in the London Youth Games Finals in June, to qualify they needed to finish in the top 6 in their competition.
